The STAV course is part of the Statistics and Data Analysis micro-certificate program, which aims to familiarize students with the basic principles of statistical thinking and classical and modern methods of statistical data analysis through three sub-courses (PSA, STAV, and MSM). The course can also be taken independently.
In the STAV course, students will learn about specific graphic processing and presentation of statistical data using selected statistical software systems for statistical data processing (e.g., Excel and Matlab). Students will also learn about the basic principles and use of simulation models.
