Programming basics in practice - learn to write, debug, and effectively structure code to solve real-world problems.
Learn the basics of singing technique, and understand the principles of proper voice use for quality singing performance.
The subject Singing Education is crucial for students preparing for a career as music educators. It provides a
comprehensive insight into the issues of singing, including theoretical foundations and practical training of singing skills. Students will learn about the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory, vocal, articulatory, and modifying systems, and understand how these organs function in the formation of the singing voice. Great emphasis is placed on the practical acquisition of the basics of singing technique, including proper breathing, tone formation, and clear articulation. Training takes place on appropriately selected singing etudes and folk songs. Vocal articulation, which is important for intelligibility, and interpretation, is also an integral part.
The aim of the course is to acquire basic theoretical and practical knowledge about the development of the voice and singing technique. To introduce students to pedagogical principles and procedures in teaching singing skills, and the issues of vocal interpretation. Development of the student’s basic singing skills, taking into account his/her vocal abilities – training in breathing, phonation, and articulation techniques in low-pitched vocal exercises in the middle vocal position, and in studying simpler vocalizations and folk songs selected by the teacher, taking into account the student’s individual abilities and singing development.
The requirement is the ability to describe the anatomy of the respiratory, vocal, and articulatory systems within the scope of secondary school education. The required entry skills also include the ability to clearly reproduce heard tones, remember short melodic-rhythmic patterns, and use the singing voice in at least an octave range.
After completing the course, the student will be able to explain the theory of voice development, and is familiar with the issues of singing technique. He/she can explain basic singing terms and their importance for voice and singing practice.
